Web3 scammer managed to fool followers with a fake BAYC NFT

Twitter user, @MichaelKdcl, found out that his Bored Ape was being displayed as a PFP on an account with more than 130k followers. @favewyd, had more than 300k combined followers across all social media accounts. The scammer account had daily giveaways and NFT drops, raking in a ton of followers. This strategy grew their account by 100k in less than 2 weeks.

@MichaelKdcl says that the Web3 scammer not only copied his Bored Ape, they even created a fake collection on OpenSea and verified the collection with Twitter.
